3 Lies the Health Industry Tells You by Holistic Nutritionist Sharisse Dalby

You’ve been fed a thousand lies from the health industry …

But, you already knew that.

Most of us have come to expect it, sadly.

I’m sure I could do at least ten posts just covering the bologna they feed us – yet I don’t want to give them that much of my time.

So, how about we hit up three of the lies they’ve fed us and why I’m calling bologna on them? Watch today’s video to get the scoop!

Not interested in this uber short video? That’s coo, just scroll down to read all about it.

3 Lies the Health Industry Tells You!

Watch out! These three lies seem innocent but they can do way more harm then good.

1. You should eat using the 80/20 rule

Umm, false.

Why? Because this kind of eating forces you into a diet mentality – and once you’re there you’ll find that you can eat healthy for 80% and then you’re going to have an all out binge-fest for the other 20%.

You know exactly what I’m talking about.

That’s not healthy for your body or your mind. In fact, it’s quite hard on your body to be eating well and functioning well only to have you bombard it with junk. A little bit it can handle, but not that much!

Now, don’t misunderstand.

I’m not saying you can’t have some dessert every now and then. I’m simply saying that you should choose to eat healthy and if one day you feel like a little dessert (and not because you’re emotionally upset) then have a little.

Learn to eat intuitively by learning to listen to your body.

2. Abs are made in the kitchen

What the what? No.

No, no, no.

The “kitchen” only accounts for one part of the equation if you want to work on your midsection.

This fat can come from many places, like the way you eat, digestive issues, stress, lack of sleep, metabolic disorders … there are so many reasons why you might not have a six pack!

But if you focus on your lifestyle by reducing your stress, getting enough sleep, exercise, and eating well – you’ll increase your chances on fighting that stubborn fat for good.

3. You should take a multivitamin

You probably have heard me speak on this before and so you know what I’m going to say …

NO WAY.

Do not waste your money on a multivitamin, ever.

Multivitamins are hitting you with too many micronutrients – and not necessarily the ones you need. In fact, it could be putting you in worse shape then if you didn’t take anything in the first place!

Find out what you’re deficient in (I can help you with that!) and get your deficiencies therapeutically dosed and leave your normal levels alone.

The point isn’t that you are constantly having to supplement your diet but that you only use it when you need to supplement for a deficiency.

Always remember – multivitamins are the jack of all trades, master of none.
