It’s officially time to break out the eggnog and sing White Christmas. Woo-hoo!

I feel like I’ve done a pretty good job at holding off from posting a bazillion Christmas recipes already.

And with Christmas less than five weeks away, I can finally bring it up without getting in trouble. Because yes, it’s that time of year – amazing holiday celebrations full of tempting foods that will perfectly throw off your digestion, mood, and hormonal balance.

Oops, did I say that out loud?

But really, all those holiday foods you look forward to indulging in all year ’round are actually harming your body. From inhibiting digestion, to throwing off your blood sugar balance (hello, bad holiday mood … bahumbug!), to messing with your hormones – they really throw off your body’s healthy balance.

And it’s not worth feeling worse, or doing harm to your body, for just a few bites of sugar, now is it?

So I think it’s time we break out the holiday music, hang the Christmas lights, and dig into some holiday recipes that will nourish your body, and still let you deck the halls with the best of ’em.
