Description
A healthy twist on a traditional Christmas side dish.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups frozen cranberries
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 2 Tbsp pure maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 Tbsp ground chia seeds
Instructions
- Add all the ingredients, except the chia seeds, to a small pot and bring to a boil.
- Turn to a simmer and cook until cranberries begin to burst.
- Stir frequently.
- Once cranberries are cooked, remove from heat and stir in chia seeds and let sit for 20-30 minutes until it thickens.
- Serve warm, or refrigerate or freeze to use later.
