Smooth, creamy, and oh so chocolaty! This smoothie comes together quickly and can be served hot or cold for the perfect start to your day.
Ingredients

- 2 cups unsweetened oat milk
- 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1 tablespoon cacao powder
- 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
- 4 squares dark chocolate (I used Camino organic 90% cacao)
Instructions
- In a high-speed blender, combine the oat milk, oats, cacao powder, syrup, and chocolate.
- For a cold smoothie, add 1 cup of ice cubes and blend on high for 30 seconds to 1 minute, or until it has a smooth consistency.
- For a hot smoothie, blend on high for 3 to 5 minutes, or until it feels warm to the touch and has a smooth consistency.
Notes
Variation
- Top with a sprinkle of ground cinnamon or a pinch of cayenne.

- You can increase the protein by adding in a scoop of chocolate protein powder per person in lieu of the oats.
