I know I’m not the only one that gets excited for a picnic.
From packing up and taking it to the beach or heading over to the water park – a picnic is a summer right of passage that I’m always game to take.
The problem seems to be finding healthy foods that we can serve our families that aren’t the same old deli meat sandwiches or fried food from the concession. The success would come in serving something healthy and actually having them eat it!
Serving up some healthy snacks, lunches or dinners will help keep your kids blood sugar levels stable, mood in check and energy up – not that they need anymore energy.
Plus, when we bring healthy foods with us, we show our kids that it is possible to make healthy choices no matter what and we have the opportunity to teach and solidify life-long habits.
Yeah, I bet I have your attention now!
