Layered Taco Salad

Description
A simple taco salad made with a mixture of warm and fresh ingredients. It’s seriously the best!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb organic, grass-fed beef
- Taco seasoning (in notes)
- 1 yellow pepper
- 1/2 head iceburg lettuce
- 1 cucumber
- 2 large tomatoes
- 1/2 cup old cheese, grated (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat a medium size pan on medium heat and preheat oven to 375F.
- Add beef and taco seasoning and cook for 10 minutes, mixing regularly.
- Remove stem and seed your pepper. Dice and add to beef mixture.
- Wash and dice lettuce, cucumber, and tomato into bite-size pieces.
- When meat is cooked, add to an 8×8 dish. Mix in cheese (optional).
- Place in the over for 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
- Remove from oven and top with lettuce, cucumber, and tomato.
- Serve warm or cold.
Notes
Taco Seasoning
- 1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 Tbsp chilli powder
- sea salt & pepper, to taste
Optional
Serve with organic corn tortilla chips and fresh salsa.
