Orange Sesame Chicken + Broccoli

Description

Bursting with citrus flavours, this simple dinner will become your go-to!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp Coconut Oil
  • 1/4 cup Organic Low-Sodium Chicken Broth
  • 1 Navel Orange, zested and juiced
  • 1/4 cup Blackstrap Molasses
  • 2 tbsp Coconut Aminos
  • 8 cups Broccoli, chopped into florets
  • 1 1/2 tsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Sea salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp Sesame Seeds

Instructions

  1. Dice your chicken breasts into cubes.
  2. Melt your coconut oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and saute until cooked through and browned, about 10 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, in a small sauce pan combine the broth, orange zest, orange juice, molasses, and coconut aminos. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.
  4. Simmer for 10 minutes, then pour over chicken. Mix well to coat and turn to a simmer until sauce is reduced down and thickened.
  5. Steam your broccoli until bright in colour and toss with olive oil, sea salt and black pepper.
  6. Divide the broccoli between plates and top with the orange chicken. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve.
